The GL1800 Gold Wing and GL1800 Gold Wing ‘Tour’, Honda’s seminal touring flagships, both receive new colours and safety-focussed technical update for their 2023 year model.
Since its introduction as a naked 1000cc machine in 1975, the majestic Honda Gold Wing has always represented the ultimate in two-wheeled travel and has created an enduring and unrivalled reputation for luxury, quality, style and comfort.
For 2023, both Gold Wings feature new colour options. Available exclusively with Honda’s unique Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), the GL1800 Gold Wing will be available in a new Iridium Gray Metallic/Mat Pearl Morion Black colour scheme, which features red detailing on the engine cases. The DCT and airbag-equipped GL1800 Gold Wing Tour will feature two new colours for 2023, Graphite Black featuring brown engine covers and Beta Silver Metallic/Iridium Gray Metallic. These are joined by the popular Pearl Glare White which carries over from 2022. The moody Graphite Black option is also available with Manual Transmission.
An additional safety-focussed upgrade for 2023 for both the GL1800 Gold Wing and GL1800 Gold Wing ‘Tour’ comes in the shape of a new Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) integrated into the 7-inch full-colour TFT liquid crystal display. The tyre pressure is displayed as a numerical figure in the bottom left area of the instrument panel, and the new TPMS will illuminate a clear and bright warning light if pressure becomes sub-optimal.
